Be unreasonable.

In 1914, a man crashed a ship with 27 men in the Antarctic ice, temperatures well below freezing, with limited supplies, 1000s miles from civilization.

Now, It would be reasonable to assume it was all over from the minute they crashed. It would be reasonable to assume that most, if not all of those men died within a few days.

But what happened was anything but reasonable.  What happened was extraordinary.

It’s my belief that life is truly lived in the unreasonable. Every time we break free of our limiting beliefs, reframe and expand our expectations, and stop tolerating  mediocrity, we open ourselves to what is possible. To be the person we’re capable of, who we’re called to be.

Everything I’ve achieved in life, it would have been unreasonable and unwise to bet on.

I was too young when I started my first business at 13.

Too dyslexic to be a successful student or attend Harvard.

Absolutely crazy to run my first ultramarathon months after a hip and knee replacement.

Too much of a hippy to help multiple companies to come close to 1 billion in market caps.

Extraordinary lives in the unreasonable.

Don’t listen to the fears, the norms, the shoulds, or have-tos. Be f***ing unreasonable.

Because that is how you achieve everything you know you are meant for.
Oh, and that captain and his 27 men?
His name was Earnest Shackelton. He led them over 2 years, sailing over 1400 miles on lifeboats, until they eventually found a small whaling village.

And every single one of them lived.

You’ll never know just how much you could have  grown, accomplished, or impacted, for yourself and for others.

Be unreasonable.
